Dedication and Naming of the Reconstructed Church building at Jaranwala
Dedication of Presbyterian Church of Pakistan Jaranwala.
With a grateful heart, we share about the dedication ceremony of the reconstructed Church building at Jaranwala, held on 17th October 2023. This is one of the Church building among 26, which were burnt during the attacks after a false blasphemy accusation on 16th August 2023. The dedication ceremony started with a procession of Pastors from different cities. They reached Jaranwala to celebrate the reopening of the Church building with the local congregation. A ribbon was cut on the main gate by a retired Pastor Rev. Rehmat Bagh and another ribbon was cut at the entrance of the Church building by Rev. Reuben Qamar, Moderator Presbyterian Church of Pakistan. The Church building and Altar table were dedicated for the Glory of God. We had an amazing and blessed worship, heard a blessed sermon and had a Holy Communion service. The worship was led by Rev. Obaid Khokhar, executive secretary Presbyterian Church of Pakistan, Rev. Dr. Maqsood Kamil preached a blessed sermon and Holy Communion was officiated by Rev. Reuben Qamar Moderator Presbyterian Church of Pakistan. The entire congregation and clergy participated in Holy Communion. The newly constructed Church building has been named after Rev. Inayat Mall, who served as the first Presbyterian Minister at Jaranwala in 1960. Presently his third generation is serving in this church. Please keep praying for the completion of the remaining 25 Churches in the main city and in the Jaranwala vicinity.
