Presbyterian Leadership with Leadership of Salvation Army

A solidarity visit to Territorial Head Quarter of Salvation Army Pakistan over the sad incident of attacks and burning of Churches and houses of Christians in Jaranwala, Pakistan. Moderator Presbyterian Church of Pakistan along with Rev. Dr. Maqsood Kamil had a fruitful discussion with Territorial Commander Col. Diana Macdonald, Territorial Leader Col. Macdonald Chandi and Chief Secretary Lt. Col. Safdar Iqbal for the rehabilitation of the persecuted Christians at Jaranwala and surrounding villages. Rev. Reuben Qamar along with Rev. Dr. Maqsood Kamil showed deep concern and conveyed the message of solidarity to the Territorial leadership on behalf of the Presbyterian clergy and Congregations. It is pertinent to mention that 6 Church buildings of Salvation Army Pakistan were attacked and burnt among 26 Church buildings in Jaranwala. The strong faith of the Christians even little kids was mutually appreciated. Territorial Leadership of Salvation Army Pakistan and Presbyterian representatives agreed for the joint efforts to uplift and empower the marginalized Christian community including women and children. I appeal for prayer so that efforts for unity in the church can be initiated and be successful.

In His Service Rev. Reuben Qamar Moderator Presbyterian Church of Pakistan
